Hey stanky ass bitches! Don’t you hate when you put on perfume and it disappears two hours later when you need to smell good? Here are some tips so you can keep yourself smelling fresh to death (and not like death):
Spray your perfume on your clothes and hair
The perfume won’t smell quite the same as on your skin, but spraying perfume onto your hair and clothes will make it last longer. If you want to keep it on your skin, spray it under your clothes (chest, stomach) where it won’t get rubbed off as quickly. None of that prissy wrist smooshing action!
Moisturise your skin first
Rub some body lotion or Vaseline into your skin before you apply your perfume on top. The oils hold onto the perfume for longer so it releases slower. It’s good for your skin as well!
Buy a longer lasting perfume
Yeah, it’s usually too late for this, but next time just sort that shit out from the get-go. EDP (Eau de Parfum) lasts longer than EDT (Eau de Toilette) – although it costs a bit more, it has more of the perfume chemicals than the EDT. You can also pick a perfume that lasts longer – musk, amber, vetiver and patchouli notes last the longest, and you can harness the Google-fu for some reviews before you buy as well. Fragrantica has a handy compilation of user reviews on longevity for a crazy number of perfumes.
